My name is Otie.
I am a compassionate Christian counsellor dedicated to caring for and serving people of all ages with love and empathy. With over 20 years of experience as a nurse and raising four wonderful children, I have faced my fair share of life's challenges. Through these experiences, I have had to learn to be resilient and to cope with whatever issues came my way.
My philosophy, inspired by divine wisdom, is "come let's reason together." I believe that no matter how difficult the circumstances may seem, there is always hope and an alternative way forward. Through my own trials, I have experienced firsthand the power of resilience and character maturity that comes from facing adversity with faith and courage.
Drawing from my personal experiences and professional expertise, I now share my testimonies with others, offering practical and spiritual support. My diverse background includes diplomas in nursing, counselling, community, and children services. I have worked in various healthcare settings, including hospitals, intensive care, mental health, and aged care facilities.
My passion is care. I just love caring for people, looking out for their needs and wellbeing, offering support and helping them life full and happy lives.
At its heart, counselling with me is about love and care. It's about two or more people coming together to share their stories, their burdens, and their joys. It's about feeling heard and understood, and it's about having someone walk alongside you on your life's journey, laughing and crying together.

This may include Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance Commitment Therapy (ACT), Choice Theory and Reality Therapy, Mindfulness techniques and Narrative Therapy.

Spending time in nature acts as a natural overall medicine, boosting mood, reducing stress, improving sleep and increasing happiness.

Proper hydration can improve mood and cognitive function. There is no substitute for water when it comes to maintaining health and well-being.

Rest gives our mind and soul a chance to rejuvenate, allowing us to return to our tasks with fresh perspective and energy.
